CHP officers and San Jose firefighters responded to the scene and found a white Honda sedan and a gray pickup truck involved in the crash.

San Jose, CA. – One person was seriously injured in a two-vehicle accident that happened Saturday afternoon in San Jose, the California Highway Patrol said.
The incident took place around 5:11 p.m. on southbound Highway 101 just north of Silicon Valley Boulevard.

One of the drivers was taken to the hospital with major injuries.
The Nos. 1 and 4 lanes remained blocked for investigation.
