Jura was running westbound across the highway when he was hit by a 2011 Ford F350 pickup truck traveling southbound. Despite being quickly transported to Sacred Heart Medical Center, Jura succumbed to his injuries.

Spokane Valley, WA. – 73-year-old William J. Jura was identified by the coroner's office as pedestrian killed in a crash on Highway 27 in Spokane Valley last week Friday evening.
According to the Washington State Police, the wreck happened at around 7:03 p.m. September 27 on State Route 27 near Valleyway Avenue.
Jura was running westbound across the highway when he was hit by a 2011 Ford F350 pickup truck traveling southbound. Despite being quickly transported to Sacred Heart Medical Center, Jura succumbed to his injuries.
The driver of the vehicle, 43-year-old Ramon Saucedo of Spokane, was not injured in the incident. A 10-year-old passenger in the vehicle, Guillermo Saucedo, was also unharmed.
More details regarding the mishap were not provided.
An investigation is underway.
