At around 9:40 p.m., authorities received reports of a multi-vehicle collision on westbound Interstate 80 just west of the Enterprise Boulevard on-ramp.
West Sacramento, CA. – Major injuries were reported in a multi-vehicle accident that took place Friday night in West Sacramento, the California Highway Patrol said.
At around 9:40 p.m., authorities received reports of a multi-vehicle collision on westbound Interstate 80 just west of the Enterprise Boulevard on-ramp.
A rescue team from the Yolo County Fire Department was dispatched to the scene but got stuck in traffic, prompting another rescue team from the Davis Fire Department to be dispatched.
The responders found three vehicles involved in the crash.
At least one person suffered major injuries in the accident. The patient was taken by AMR to the hospital in unknown condition.
One eastbound lane was shut down during the rescue operation.
CHP officers are investigating the crash.
