According to the report, a vehicle traveling west on Columbus Street crashed into a teenage bicyclist traveling southbound on Loyola Street

Bakersfield, CA.- A teenager was killed in a vehicle collision while riding a bicycle in Bakersfield on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Bakersfield Fire Department.
The incident took place on Columbus and Loyola streets shortly before 3 p.m. November 13.
According to the report, a vehicle traveling west on Columbus Street crashed into a teenage bicyclist traveling southbound on Loyola Street.
The 13-year-old bicyclist was rushed to Kern Medical, where he was later pronounced deceased.
The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
Alcohol and drugs were not believed to have played a role in the incident, the authorities said.
The crash remained under investigation.
