Santa Clara, CA. – A Santa Clara University student died after being struck by a car near the school's campus on Thursday morning.
According to the Santa Clara Police Department, the accident happened around 11:58 a.m. on El Camino Real and Accolti Way near the Santa Clara University campus.
The 18-year-old Santa Clara University student was walking in the area and was struck by a car.
The student was transported to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
The driver who struck the pedestrian stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police.
The Santa Clara Police Department is investigating the cause of the accident.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
