South Los Angeles, CA. – A driver was trapped inside their vehicle in a crash that happened Monday afternoon during a police chase in South Los Angeles.
The accident occurred around 3 p.m. at San Pedro Street and Florence Avenue.
According to police, the driver of a black Chevrolet Tahoe suspected of being involved in a domestic violence incident was fleeing officers when they T-boned a pickup truck at the intersection.
The pickup driver got trapped inside the vehicle.
Firefighters responded to the scene and freed the victim. The male driver was taken away from the scene in a wheelchair but was conscious and alert. The report did not mention the extent of injuries he sustained, if any.
The suspect was arrested at the scene.
An investigation is ongoing.
