Police said a woman walking across Cave Creek Road outside of the crosswalk was struck by a southbound vehicle

Phoenix, AZ.- A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle in north Phoenix on Saturday morning, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
The incident took place near Cave Creek and Cactus roads at about 5:45 p.m. November 30.
Police said a woman walking across Cave Creek Road outside of the crosswalk was struck by a southbound vehicle.
The woman was rushed to a hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.
The driver of the car stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
Police said DUI was not suspected to have played a role in the incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
