Riverside Fire Department paramedics responded to the incident and transported the woman to Riverside Community Hospital in critical condition

Riverside, CA. – A 54-year-old woman was injured after being struck by a car at an intersection in Riverside on Thursday morning.
According to the Riverside Police Department, the accident happened at Eucalyptus and University avenues at around 8 a.m.
The woman was reportedly walking northbound on Eucalyptus when she entered the crosswalk at University and was hit by a southbound Honda Civic that was making a left turn onto University.
Riverside Fire Department paramedics responded to the incident and transported the woman to Riverside Community Hospital in critical condition.
The driver of the car, a 29-year-old Riverside man, stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police.
More details about the accident were not released.
The Major Accident Investigation Team is investigating the cause of the accident.
