La Verne police officers and fire personnel responded to the scene and found an adult male pedestrian with severe injuries.

La Verne, CA. – A male pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle Sunday afternoon at an intersection in La Verne, the La Verne Police Department reported.
The accident was reported to authorities around 4:55 p.m. at Bonita Avenue and Damien Avenue.
La Verne police officers and fire personnel responded to the scene and found an adult male pedestrian with severe injuries.
The firefighters offered the victim medical aid at the scene and then transported him to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
The driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
Police said impairment did not appear to be a contributing factor.
The La Verne Police Department's Major Accident Investigation Team is asking witnesses to come forward to help them as they try to determine the factors that contributed to the accident.
