According to WSP, Francisco Garcia Barragan, 32, of Federal Way, was driving a 2012 Nissan Altima on SR 516 when he drifted off the left side and hit the concrete barrier

Kent, WA.- One person was killed in a crash involving a suspected DUI motorist in Kent early Sunday morning, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The incident took place on SR 516 at about 5 a.m. on Sunday, December 8.
According to WSP, Francisco Garcia Barragan, 32, of Federal Way, was driving a 2012 Nissan Altima on SR 516 when he drifted off the left side and hit the concrete barrier.
The Nissan then went onto the right side, collided with a second barrier, and came to a rest upside down in the HOV lane.
The Nissan was then hit by a 2023 Toyota Tundra.
A passenger in the Nissan, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Barragan was injured in the crash and was taken to Harborview Medical Center.
The driver of the Toyota was also taken to Harborview Medical Center while a passenger in their vehicle was taken to Valley Medical Center.
WSP reported that Barragan was suspected of DUI.
The incident is under investigation.
