Florence, AZ – 52-year-old Steven Berbaum was killed in a multi-vehicle collision on Hunt Highway in Pinal County Monday morning.
The Pinal County Sheriff's Office said the accident happened at around 8 a.m. on Hunt Highway near Oasis Lane.
Berbaum was speeding on Hunt Highway near Oasis Lane, northwest of the HonorHealth Florence Medical Center, when he nearly hit the deputy pursuing him.
As the deputy tried to pull Berbaum over, he crossed into oncoming traffic, rolled over and crashed with four other vehicles.
Berbaum was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
One other driver suffered minor injuries.
The collision is being investigated.
