Sonora, CA. – 62-year-old Michael Diffenderfer of Jamestown was seriously injured when his motorcycle collided with a sedan Monday afternoon in Sonora.
According to the Sonora Police Department, the collision was reported around 3:40 p.m. on West Stockton Street near Ponderosa Way.
Diffenderfer was riding a motorcycle when he was either T-boned or rear-ended by a sedan driven by 26-year-old Rhinemarc Diasen of Sonora.
The motorcyclist was thrown from his bike, sustaining serious injuries. A medical helicopter responded to the scene and airlifted Diffenderfer to a Valley trauma center for treatment.
Investigators closed the roadway for about 20 minutes as they worked the scene.
