Philip Chavez was speeding and is believed to have been driving under the influence and will likely face murder charges
Tulare County, CA. – 43-year-old Kellie Rivera has been identified as the woman who died in a car crash that happened in Hanford just after midnight on Sunday.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at the intersection of 13th Avenue and Fargo Avenue.
Kellie was driving a car northbound on 13th Avenue when she entered the intersection after making a full stop at the four-way stop on Fargo and was struck by another car driven by 35-year-old Philip Andrew Macias Chavez.
Kellie was killed in the crash.
Macias Chavez was taken to the hospital with major injuries.
He was speeding and is believed to have been driving under the influence and will likely face murder charges.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
