According to the California Highway Patrol, Lorusso was walking on the highway when he was hit by a 2021 GMC Yukon traveling southbound
Kern County, CA.- Michael Anthony Lorusso, 77, of Rosemead, was hit and killed by a vehicle near Mettler in Kern County on December 6, according to the Kern County Coroner's Office.
The incident took place on Highway 99, near Highway 166 at around 6:10 a.m.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Lorusso was walking on the highway when he was hit by a 2021 GMC Yukon traveling southbound.
Lorusso was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene after the accident.
The CHP is conducting an investigation into the collision.
