South Los Angeles, CA. – A Los Angeles Police Department officer was hospitalized after a head-on collision that happened Sunday evening near an intersection in South Los Angeles.
The wreck occurred around 8:30 p.m. near Florence and 6th avenues.
According to LAPD, the officer's patrol vehicle collided head-on with another car under unclear circumstances.
Paramedics wrapped the officer's head with a bandage and transported him to the hospital in apparently stable condition.
The driver of the other car remained at the scene. They did not appear seriously injured.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
