Perris, CA – The Riverside County coroner's office has identified 44-year-old Kenneth Woods of Moreno Valley as a pedestrian killed in a Monday evening crash at an intersection in Perris.
According to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, the accident was reported at around 6 p.m. December 23 at Ramona Expressway and North Perris Boulevard.
Reports revealed the driver of a Mercedes SUV was traveling eastbound on Ramona Expressway approaching North Perris Boulevard when it struck Woods.
Woods was transported to Riverside University Health Systems Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries Monday night.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated during the investigation.
Drugs or alcohol did not appear to be a factor in this collision.
The cause of the mishap remains under investigation.
