According to the report, a dark-colored Toyota RAV4 was traveling the wrong way on the transition ramp when it collided head-on with an oncoming white Dodge Challenger

Walnut Creek, CA.- One person was killed in a traffic collision in Walnut Creek early Wednesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident took place at about 12:18 a.m. April 30, on the interchange between Interstate Highway 680 and State Highway 24.
According to the report, a dark-colored Toyota RAV4 was traveling the wrong way on the transition ramp when it collided head-on with an oncoming white Dodge Challenger.
The driver of the Dodge was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Toyota driver was taken to a hospital for treatment.
The driver is expected to be booked on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter and DUI following the incident.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
