Investigators said Fultz was driving a GMC Sierra truck eastbound on the highway when she drifted into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a Pontiac Vibe sedan.

Santa Barbara, CA. – 24-year-old Katelyn Fultz of Bakersfield was arrested on suspicion of DUI after three people were injured in a head-on collision last week in Santa Barbara.
According to the California Highway Patrol Santa Barbara Office, Fultz was arrested for DUI and DUI causing great bodily injury after the crash that happened around 6:53 a.m. Thursday on Highway 154 near San Antonio Creek Road.
Investigators said Fultz was driving a GMC Sierra truck eastbound on the highway when she drifted into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a Pontiac Vibe sedan.
One person was trapped in the wreckage with critical injuries.
Emergency personnel freed the victim and transported them to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for treatment.
Another person who sustained major injuries was taken to the same hospital.
Fultz was also hospitalized for her injuries.

Santa Barbara, CA.– Three people were injured in a two-vehicle collision in Santa Barbara on Thursday morning, according to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.
The wreck took place on Highway 154, just north of San Antonio Creek Road.
The two vehicles reportedly collided head-on and one person had to be extricated from one of the vehicles.
The extricated party was transported Cottage Hospital with critical injuries.
Two other parties were transported to the hospital with critical injuries.
Both directions were shut down as authorities worked to clear the scene.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
