Aaron Febres killed in two-vehicle collision at Cressey Way and Eucalyptus Avenue in Merced

Merced, CA. – Aaron Brian Febres, 37, has been identified as the man who was killed in a car accident on Monday afternoon in Merced.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened in the area of Cressey Way and Eucalyptus Avenue.
Ismael Mata Alfaro, 29, of Winton, was driving a 2017 Ford truck north on Cressey Way when he collided with a Toyota traveling west on Eucalyptus Avenue.
Febres was driving the Toyota and was pronounced dead at the accident scene by the Merced County Sheriff's Coroner's Office.
There were no passengers inside the Toyota at the time of the collision.
Neither Alfaro nor his adult male passenger were injured in the accident.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
