According to DPS, four vehicles were involved in the collision that took place on the eastbound lanes of Loop 202
Chandler, AZ. – A girl died after being involved in a collision in Chandler on Thursday morning, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
The incident happened on Loop 202 near Kyrene Road on Thursday, May 7.
According to DPS, four vehicles were involved in the collision that took place on the eastbound lanes of Loop 202.
A child was pulled out of one of the vehicles involved in the accident and was rushed to the hospital with critical injuries.
The 8-year-old child was later pronounced deceased at the hospital.
Roads were shut down in the area as authorities investigated the incident.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
