The impact of the collision pushed the boy over the bridge and into the Klamath River

Klamath County, OR. – A 17-year-old boy was killed in a collision that sent him over a bridge and into a river in Klamath Falls on Saturday afternoon.
The fatal collision happened around Highway 140 near milepost 1, according to Oregon State Police.
The 17-year-old boy was standing in front of a car when a Dodge Durango driven by Forrest Clinton George Fairchild, 40, of Klamath Falls, rear-ended it.
The impact of the collision pushed the boy over the bridge and into the Klamath River.
The boy was pulled from the river and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Fairchild was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
