The driver of the car was cited for careless driving causing an accident
Bend, OR. – A 71-year-old man died after being hit by a car on Sunday afternoon in Bend.
According to the Bend Police Department, the accident happened at 660 NE 3rd Street at around 2 p.m.
The man was in a parking lot when he was hit by a white Toyota Tacoma driven by a 31-year-old Bend man.
Bend Fire & Rescue ambulance transported the pedestrian to St. Charles Bend Hospital where he died while receiving treatment.
The driver of the car was cited for careless driving causing an accident.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
