Lane County, OR – One person was killed after two vehicles collided head-on on Highway 58 in Lane County Tuesday morning, according to Oregon State Police.
The victim was identified by OSP as David William Dickey, 45, of Portland.
The deadly crash happened at about 6:26 a.m. on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, on Highway 58 near milepost 36.5.
OSP said a white GMC Yukon, David Dickey, was heading eastbound on Highway 58 when, for some reason, it left its lane and entered the westbound lane where it collided head-on with a gray Volvo semi-truck hauling a 52-foot box trailer.
Dickey was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the semi-truck, identified as Alymbek Baikeev, 40, of Forest Hills, New York, was not injured.
The crash impacted the highway for about three hours for the on-scene investigation.
No additional information was provided.
The crash remains under investigation.
