Flagstaff, AZ – One person was seriously injured after an electric skateboard collided with a Flagstaff PD patrol vehicle late Tuesday night, according to a police report.

Police said a marked patrol vehicle, operated by an off-duty Flagstaff police officer, was traveling northbound on S Milton Rd approaching Route 66 when a man on a self-balancing, single-wheel electrical skateboard entered the roadway.
Investigators say an on-duty Flagstaff police officer in a marked patrol vehicle was northbound on South Milton Road approaching Route 66 just before midnight when a man on a self-balancing, single-wheel electric skateboard entered the roadway, leading to the crash.
The man suffered serious injuries in the crash. The officer stopped and rendered aid to the injured man.
The patient was rushed to the hospital and remains in critical condition.
The crash remains under investigation.
