The deadly crash happened at about 8:52 p.m. on June 1, 2025, on Sierra Highway south of Patterson Road
Rosamond, CA – A man was killed after crashing into a pole in Rosamond Sunday night, according to the Bakersfield Police Department.
The Kern County Sheriff's Office identified the deceased motorist as 48-year-old Dontay Tyrone Johnson of Lancaster.
The deadly crash happened at about 8:52 p.m. on June 1, 2025, on Sierra Highway south of Patterson Road
Authorities said Johnson was a driver who crashed into a telephone pole on Sierra Highway.
Johnson died in the incident.
