Bakersfield, CA – A male pedestrian was hit and killed by a hit-and-run driver on East Brundage Lane in Bakersfield on Saturday.
The Kern County Coroner's Office identified the pedestrian as Manuel Rodriguez Chavez, 64, of Bakersfield.
Authorities said Chavez was hit by a vehicle at East Brundage Lane and Bliss Street at an unknown time on May 31. Chavez was located at 10:27 p.m. that night and was declared dead at the scene.
The authorities are looking for the suspected driver and anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact the Bakersfield Police Department at 661-327-7111.
