San Diego, CA. – Authorities are investigating a fatal motorcycle collision that happened Saturday afternoon near Camp Pendleton.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident occurred around 12:45 p.m. on southbound Interstate 5 south of the Las Pulgas Road exit.
A motorcycle and at least one car were involved in the crash.
CHP officers and a team from Camp Pendleton responded to the scene.
One person died in the crash.
The report also said a Life Flight air ambulance was dispatched to the scene, but it was unclear how many people were injured.
An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the crash.
