According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident was reported around 8:55 p.m. on Highway 130, also known as Mount Hamilton Road, in the area of Sawtooth Canyon.

Mount Hamilton, CA. – One person died in a fiery crash that happened Monday night near Mount Hamilton, east of San Jose.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident was reported around 8:55 p.m. on Highway 130, also known as Mount Hamilton Road, in the area of Sawtooth Canyon.
A sedan was traveling west on the highway when, for reasons still under investigation, the driver veered off the roadway and hit a culvert and a retaining wall. The car caught fire and became fully engulfed in flames.
The driver and sole occupant of the car died in the crash.
Authorities are investigating the collision.
