Bakersfield, CA. – The Kern County Coroner's Office identified the pedestrian who was fatally hit by a car Saturday night in Bakersfield as 22-year-old Daniel Aguirre.
Aguirre was struck by a vehicle around 11:36 p.m. after he exited his car near Old River Road and White Oak Drive.
According to investigators, the deceased was driving a silver Infiniti coupe when he hit a tree on the median on Old River Road.
The driver exited the vehicle and got hit by a blue Honda sedan.
Aguirre died from the injuries he suffered in the crash.
The driver of the Honda stopped and remained at the scene. He was cleared of DUI.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
