Phoenix, AZ – The Arizona Department of Public Safety identified a pedestrian killed after being hit by several vehicles on Interstate in Central Phoenix Tuesday last week morning as 60-year-old Lindbert Johnson.
The deadly crash was reported at around 5 a.m. on June 3 on the eastbound Interstate 10 near Washington Street.
Johnson was struck by multiple cars on the freeway for reasons not yet established.
Some of the vehicles stopped at the area while others left the scene.
Johnson, who was believed to be homeless, died at the crash site.
The HOV and the eastbound lanes of the freeway were shut down through out the morning hours as officers investigate the scene.

An investigation is underway.
