The male passenger was dragged for several blocks and was taken to hospital with serious injuries

Spokane, WA. – Two people were hospitalized following a collision that happened in Spokane on Sunday night.
According to Spokane police, the accident happened around 7:45 p.m. at Maxwell Avenue and Washington Street.
19-year-old Cautia McArthur was driving a car when she was involved in a minor collision with another car.
A passenger of the second car exited the car and was struck by McArthur as she left the scene. The male passenger was dragged for several blocks and was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
A few minutes later, McArthur ran a stop sign at the intersection of Monroe and Alice Avenue and struck another vehicle before crashing into multiple parked vehicles.
A woman in the other car was hospitalized with serious injuries.
McArthur was treated for her injuries before she was arrested and booked into Spokane County Jail on suspicion of vehicular assault and hit and run.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
