, CA – The Yuba County Sheriff's Office has released the identities of three people who died in a head-on crash on Highway 70 in Marysville Saturday afternoon.

The victims have been identified as Clint Waddell, 22, Salma Ramirez-Lujan, 22, and Michael Mallison, 17.

Police said one of the vehicles was occupied by six people, three of whom died, and three passengers, including an infant were hospitalized.

The driver who was the sole occupant of the second vehicle was injured.

The incident remains under investigation.

Marysville, CA – Three people were killed while three others were hurt in a traffic collision that took place in Marysville on Saturday afternoon, according to the Marysville Police Department.

The wreck happened on Highway 70 near 24th Street at about 2:45 p.m.

A vehicle carrying five people reportedly collided head-on with a second vehicle occupied by one person.

According to police, three people were pronounced deceased at the scene.

Three other parties, including a minor, were transported to the hospital with major injuries.

One party had to be airlifted from the scene.

Speed is being investigated as a factor in the crash, police reported.

The Marysville Police Department and the Yuba County Sheriff's Department are investigating the incident.
