San Diego, CA – The San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office has released the identity of a man who died after being ejected in a crash on June 8 along 42nd Street in San Diego.
The Medical Examiner identified the deceased driver as 24-year-old Nathaniel James Maples.
The deadly collision happened sometime before 11 p.m. on Sunday, June in the 500 block of 42nd Street in the Mt. Hope neighborhood.
According to San Deigo PD, Nathaniel Maples was driving a 2008 Mazda CX5 when he lost control of the sedan and crashed into a parked 1995 Jeep Wrangler and three other cars.
He sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene at about 11:04 p.m.

San Diego, CA – A 24-year-old man died after he was ejected from his car in a collision that happened late Sunday night in the Mt. Hope neighborhood of San Diego.
According to the San Diego Police Department, the incident occurred around 11 p.m. in the area of 500 42nd Street.
Authorities said the San Diego man left his residence moments after shattering glass items within and drove southbound in a 2008 Mazda CX5.
Shortly after, the driver lost control of the car and collided with a parked 1995 Jeep Wrangler on the east curb line of 42nd Street. The car also hit three other cars parked in the area.
The man was ejected from the vehicle, sustaining severe injuries. Emergency personnel pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
SDPD is investigating the accident.
