Phoenix, AZ – A young woman who was killed in a dirt bike collision with a car at a Phoenix intersection on Wednesday night has been identified.
The deceased woman was identified as 19-year-old Britney Vasquez Gomez. A man was also injured in the crash.
Authorities said Gomez was a passenger of a dirt bike traveling southbound when it collided with a truck making a left turn onto a private parkway.
Gomez suffered critical injuries and was rushed to the hospital where she later died. The man who was operating the dirt bike was also hospitalzied and is expected to survive.
Authorities said the driver of the vehicle was processed for DUI.

The wreck happened on 16th Street and Southern Avenue at about 10 p.m. on June 25.
According to the report, a man and a woman were riding on a dirt bike when they were involved in a collision with a vehicle.
The two riders were rushed to a hospital, where the woman was pronounced deceased.
The man was hospitalized and was expected to survive.
The other driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
