The California Highway Patrol received reports of the crash around 6:54 p.m. on the eastbound 10 Freeway near Cedar Avenue.
A black Ford Mustang and a gray SUV were involved in the accident.
One of the vehicles caught fire with an occupant still stuck inside.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene and helped the motorists.
One person sustained a burn injury to the right arm and complained of pain to the head.
Authorities are investigating to determine the cause of the collision.
