Fresno County, CA – A woman is dead and a man is injured following a collision involving a motorcycle and a tractor in Fresno County Thursday night.
The deadly accident occurred just after 9 p.m. on June 26 near Colorado Road and Sumner Avenue, located between Tranquility and San Joaquin.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a male rider with a female passenger were on a motorcycle and tried to pass a tractor pulling a tank trailer.
The motorcyclist drove onto the shoulder to pass but crashed into the rear of the tractor.
The rider and his passenger were ejected from the motorcycle.
The woman suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man suffered critical injuries was airlifted to the hospital,
No one else was hurt.
The crash remains under investigation.
