Deschutes County, OR – One person was killed in a single-car crash on Highway 20 in Deschutes County Monday morning.

Investigators said a blue Subaru Outback, driven by Randolf Lee Burghart, 63, of St. Helens, was heading east on Highway 20 near milepost 95 when, for some reason, the vehicle left the roadway and struck a guardrail.
The vehicle crossed into the opposite traffic lane and crashed into a tree.
Burghart, who was the sole occupant of the Subaru, was pronounced dead at the scene.
No additional information was provided.
The crash remains under investigation.
