Phoenix, AZ.- A man was hit and injured by a vehicle in Phoenix early Thursday morning, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
The incident took place on 16th Street and Weir Avenue at about 4:45 a.m. July 3.
According to police, a woman driving through the area struck a male pedestrian in the roadway.
The man was rushed to a hospital with serious injuries.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
A section of 16th Street was shut down as authorities investigated the incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
