Fresno, CA. – A woman was hospitalized after being injured in a collision involving an ambulance that happened Monday evening at an intersection in Fresno.
According to Fresno police, the incident took place around 8 p.m. on Shields and Blackstone avenues.
An American Ambulance unit heading west on Shields Avenue collided with a car occupied by two women turning onto Shields from Blackstone.
No one inside the ambulance was injured.
One of the women in the other car suffered injuries not considered serious. She was taken to the hospital for treatment.
It was unclear if the ambulance had its lights and siren activated at the time of the collision.
