Petaluma, CA. – 76-year-old Joel Rossman died from injuries he sustained earlier this month in a accident in Petaluma, the Sheriff's Office reported.

Rossman and another man were, just before 1:30 p.m. on July 1, walking in a crosswalk on Petaluma Boulevard North near B Street when they were struck by a white Cadillac Escalade.

Rossman was taken to a trauma center in critical condition, while the other pedestrian was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Petaluma police said Rossman died of his injuries at an unspecified date.

The driver of the Cadillac stopped after the accident and cooperated with investigators.

Authorities are investigating the accident.

Petaluma, CA. – Two pedestrians were injured after being struck by a car on Tuesday afternoon in Petaluma.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 1:15 p.m. at Petaluma Boulevard North and B Street.

The pedestrians had been walking in a marked crosswalk when they were struck by a southbound SUV.

Both victims were transported to a local hospital for treatment. One of the pedestrians had life-threatening injuries.

The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police.
