Spokane, WA.- A man was killed in a scooter accident involving a vehicle in Spokane on Saturday morning, according to the Spokane Police Department.
The incident took place on Dalton and Division streets at around 2:20 a.m. July 19.
According to police, two men were riding on an electric scooter on the sidewalk when the passenger lost balance and fell off the scooter.
The passenger fell onto the roadway and was hit by a passing semi-truck.
The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the scooter fell onto the sidewalk and was unhurt.
The operator of the big rig stayed at the scene after the accident.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
