Police reported that a vehicle was heading east on Polk Street when it struck a homeless man in the roadway
Sylmar, CA.- A man was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Sylmar on Sunday night, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The incident took place on Polk Street and DeGarmo Avenue at around 9:45 p.m. July 20.
Police reported that a vehicle was heading east on Polk Street when it struck a homeless man in the roadway.
The driver failed to stop at the scene after hitting the pedestrian.
The victim, who was not immediately identified, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Los Angeles Police Department is conducting an investigation into the collision.
