1 Critically Injured in Yakima Pedestrian Accident at Nob Hill Blvd and 23rd Ave.

Yakima, WA. – A was critically injured after being struck by a car in Yakima early Thursday morning.

The auto-pedestrian accident happened at the intersection of Nob Hill Boulevard and 23rd Avenue at around 2:54 a.m.

A 2014 Hyundai Sonata driven by a 39-year-old Yakima resident was westbound on Nob Hill Boulevard when it struck a 32-year-old man who was crossing from a parking lot toward the north sidewalk.

The man was critically injured and was taken to MultiCare Memorial Hospital in Yakima before being flown to Harborview Medical Center due to the severity of his injuries.

The driver was arrested for vehicular assault for driving while impaired and causing significant injuries.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
