Police said a purple Lexus SUV was traveling westbound on Middlefield Road when it failed to stop for a red light and collided with a Frito-Lay truck traveling north

Palo Alto, CA – One person was injured in a traffic collision in Palo Alto early Tuesday morning, according to the authorities.
The crash occurred at about 5:50 a.m. on Oregon Expressway and Middlefield Road.
Police said a purple Lexus SUV was traveling westbound on Middlefield Road when it failed to stop for a red light and collided with a Frito-Lay truck traveling north.
The truck reportedly rolled onto its side following the accident.
The driver of the truck, a 50-year-old, had neck and shoulder pain and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
At Least one westbound lane of Middlefield Road was shut down as authorities investigated the incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
