Two vehicles collided in the westbound lanes of the freeway just east of the University Avenue off-ramp.

Berkeley, CA – One person was hurt in a traffic collision that happened Monday afternoon on a freeway in Berkeley, the California Highway Patrol said.
The incident was reported around 4:55 p.m. on the westbound Interstate 80, just east of the University Avenue off-ramp.
Berkeley firefighters responded to the scene and found two vehicles involved in the crash.
One driver sustained cuts from broken glass and complained of pain to the head. The patient was offered medical aid at the scene, but it was unclear if they were hospitalized.
Several westbound traffic lanes were closed following the collision.
