Reportedly, the driver of a car turned north onto the tracks and drove about 120 feet along the tracks before the vehicle was hit by the train

Burlingame, Calif. – One person was hospitalized after a train versus car accident that happened Wednesday morning in Burlingame, authorities said.
The incident was reported just before 6 a.m. near the Broadway crossing.
Caltrain said a train was northbound from San Jose to San Francisco when, allegedly, the driver of a car turned onto the tracks and travelled about 120 feet before being hit by the train.
The car driver was hospitalized with unspecified injuries.
The 36 passengers aboard the train at the time of the collision were not injured.
The train passengers were delayed for hours as crews worked to remove the wreckage of the car.
