1 Hurt in Los Angeles Car Accident on 5 Freeway and Balboa Boulevard
Los Angeles, California (September 20, 2022) – One person sustained minor injuries following a car accident on Monday morning in Los Angeles, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.
The collision happened at around 11:14 a.m. on September 19, on southbound 5 Freeway, just north of Balboa Boulevard.
Per the report, a black pickup truck crashed on a parked white semi-truck for reasons still under investigation.
Responding emergency crews aided one person who sustained a hand injury following the incident. The name of the victim and their current condition were not immediately released.
Authorities issued a SigAlert at 11:31 a.m., closing lanes following the accident. The SigAlert was canceled at 1:37 p.m., and the roadway re-opened.
