Bakersfield, CA. – A pedestrian was hospitalized with major injuries after being struck by a car on Sunday afternoon in east Bakersfield.
The fatal collision happened around 3:24 p.m. at the intersection of Pioneer and Brentwood Drives, according to the Kern County Fire Department.
A vehicle is reported to have struck a pedestrian on the roadway in unclear circumstances. A smashed bicycle was also recovered at the intersection.
The pedestrian suffered major injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
