1 Hospitalized after Castaic Accident on 5 Freeway near Templin Highway
Castaic, California (August 14, 2022) – One person was airlifted to a hospital after a collision involving a big rig near Castaic on Saturday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident took place at about 11:40 p.m. August 13, on the 5 Freeway near Templin Highway.
According to the report, a white Jeep collided with a big rig parked on the right shoulder of the freeway.
One party was transported to Henry Mayo Newhall for treatment of major injuries.
At least one southbound lane of the freeway was shut down as authorities investigated the crash.
The cause of the accident remained under investigation.
