The adult male driver of the Corvette was trapped in the vehicle and had to be extricated before being taken to the hospital

Castaic, CA. – One person was seriously injured in a rear-end collision that happened on Thursday morning.
The collision happened around 11:42 a.m. on the northbound 5 Freeway near Hasley Canyon Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A Corvette reportedly crashed into the back of a semi-truck in unclear circumstances. The sedan was pinned underneath the back end of a semi-truck.
The adult male driver of the Corvette was trapped in the vehicle and had to be extricated before being taken to the hospital with major injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
